3rd BioHorizon International Brokerage Event

BioHorizon will host its 3rd International Brokerage Event as part of the European Commission’s Info Week for Horizon 2020’s Societal Challenge 2 in Brussels on 15th November 2017. Offered free of charge and timed to coincide with the publication of the Horizon 2020 work programme for 2018-2020, the brokerage event will support applicants seeking the right partners to participate in the upcoming calls. The brokerage event will focus specifically on the 2018 topics in all three calls under Societal Challenge 2 (namely Sustainable Food Security, Blue Growth and Rural Renaissance) and the Key Enabling Technology 'Biotechnology' (KET-B).

Following a general introduction to the topics and some information on aspects to consider when building a consortium, the main part of the event will comprise a series of bilateral meetings between individuals interested in the same call topics. Following successful registration for the event, participants can pre-arrange these bilateral meetings automatically by means of a sophisticated, user-friendly matchmaking tool. With this too users can select their desired discussion partners based on the profiles and research interests input into the system by participants themselves.

In addition to the bilateral meetings between potential project partners, participants will also be able to meet with representatives of various supporting bodies and initiatives, as well as with the NCPs from the BioHorizon project, responsible for the organisation of the event. This represents an opportunity for attendees to draw on personalised support and information.

The event programme will also provide a limited number of researchers and entrepreneurs a platform to present their project ideas and expertise in 5-minute flash presentations.

Registration is already closed. For more information, visit the event website at https://www.b2match.eu/foodbrokerage2017/
