Events

The 7th edition of IFIB - Italian Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy is aimed at strengthening the bioeconomy network in the Euro-Mediterranean area and to promote partnerships. The event is organized by Assobiotec, the Italian Association for the development of biotechnology which is part of the national Federation of Chemical Industry (Federchimica), together with Innovhub-SSI, the Italian Green Chemistry Cluster SPRING and Lazio Innova.

The event is organized into round tables and sessions devoted to specific sub-sectors of industrial biotechnology: circular economy, energy and biorefineries, agro-food, life-sciences, policies on industrial biotech and bioeconomy, bio-based industries; involving international speakers coming from key sector’s players: BInCanada, CLIB2021, Novamont, NextSteppe USA etc. The workshop will also include a session dedicated to shared pilot facilities within the EU project European Smart Pilots.

During the event the “EEN Biotech and Bioeconomy Partnering Event – IFIB 2017” will take place in order to offer to the workshop participants the chance to meet potential partners in pre-arranged face-to-face bilateral meetings in order to establish new cooperation opportunities in research, technology transfer and business.
