Final conference of the Preparatory Action on EU Plant and Animal Genetic Resources in Agriculture
The objectives of the preparatory action are to provide inspiring examples of how to make the conservation of neglected breeds and varieties economically viable and encourage farmers and other stakeholders to engage in similar projects across the EU.
The results of the first preparatory action are available on the European Commission DG AGRI website and the reports of the second study will be made available on the same website by early 2019.
The Friday session will take place in the context of the event “Fête de la vache nantaise” which is a large well-known event in West France (about 40 000 visitors over the week-end) that promotes the conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources.
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in FR, EN, IT, ES and DE on the 6 of September and in FR and EN on the 7 of September.
